She has always had a creative mind and a passion for interiors since she and her husband purchased their first house together. They now live in rural Essex with their four children in an old vicarage, which has become a 'forever' home project for the couple and their growing family.
Melissa's personal interior design style: traditional, classic and timeless, but with a contemporary twist. She loves to experiment with pattern and colour.
Melissa has a Diploma in Interior Design.
Becky graduated in 2008 from Southampton Solent University with a 2.1 in BA Hons Health and Fitness Management. She moved to London and started her career in Public Health, project managing and coordinating a variety of different commissioned services and contracts across London Boroughs.
Becky has always had a connection with design and construction. Growing up within a family with a building construction business it feels second nature. Both her father and brother continue to run a successful building company in Essex. Her passion for interiors may have started at a young age, however when buying her first property with her husband, the passion came to life when renovating, decorating and styling their own home. This led her to pursue her creative interests and study for a Diploma in Interior Design and form Baker and Hurst with Melissa.
Currently living in rural Essex, with her husband and three young boys, her inspiration is drawn from new materials, trends and products, unique spaces and happy clients. With a love for great design, attention to detail and resourcefulness.
Becky describes her personal style as contemporary with a Scandinavian and industrial influence.
